Der letzte JoomlaDay in Deutschland war im Jahre 2007. Das ist natürlich schon etwas her. Von daher wird es höchste Zeit, dass dieses Event sich wiederholt.Diesmal wird der JoomlaDay voraussichtlich im September in der Umgebung von Frankfurt stattfinden und einige Tage andauern. Ein Tag soll exklusiv für den Virtuemart reserviert werden.
Wie die Planung nun genau aussehen wird, darüber werden wir hier natürlich berichten. Weitere Informationen sind auf www.joomladay.de zu finden.
Dies ist so gesehen keine neue Meldung, aber eine Bestätigung dessen, was schon einige aus der Joomla! Szene wussten. Das Programm steht, alle Mitwirkenden arbeiten mit gewohnter Konzentration an dem gemeinsamen Auftritt auf der CeBIT. Extra hierfür wurde die Domain" www.joomla-cebit.de " ins Leben gerufen.
Alle Informationen, z.B. wer alles vertreten oder live dabei ist, sind auf dieser Webseite zu finden. Aber auch der Punkt Kosten wird dort ausführlich offen gelegt. Somit ist für die deutschsprachige Gemeinschaft nachzulesen, was „einen“ so interessieren könnte. Aber auch ein Spendenbarometer ist dort, das anzeigt, was noch nötig ist, damit Joomla! im richtigen Licht präsentiert werden kann. Alle Standteam-Kollegen genauso wie die Referenten erhalten für Ihre Unterstützung von Joomla! auf der CeBIT kein Honorar.
Auf dem Stand selber wird es keine Werbung geben, so wie es eben sein sollte, wenn es um eine perfekte Präsentation geht. Was aber nicht bedeutet, dass Sponsoren nicht gebührend gewürdigt werden. Hierfür dient unter anderem die Domain " www.joomla-cebit.de ". Alle Sponsoren, ob „groß“ oder „klein“, werden dort aufgeführt. Einige dürfen sich dann auch der großen Gemeinschaft, die hinter Joomla! steht, vorstellen.
Was erwartet den Besucher? Was wird ihm geboten werden? Jeder Besucher, der zu uns auf die CeBIT kommt, darf dort live seine eigene Webseite aufsetzen. Es wird ihm gezeigt, was Joomla! alles kann. Auf dem Stand selber werden kleinere Workshops abgehalten. So kann sich jeder Besucher aussuchen, was ihn am meisten Interessiert. Wer ein wenig mehr Zeit mitbringt, kann so eine ganze Reihe an wertvollen Informationen erhalten, die man in dieser Form nicht finden kann.
Das Team wird zudem live von der CeBIT senden. Auch dies wird über die benannte Webseite zu hören sein. Und wenn wir auch noch Sponsoren finden, die es uns ermöglichen können, live via Video zu streamen, dann wird auch das über www.joomla-cebit.de zu sehen sein. Es sind noch weitere Informationen, die wir zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt erst bekannt geben werden. Und wenn du nun der Meinung sein solltest, das Team von nicht weniger als derzeit 16 Mann/Frau zu unterstützen, dann komm auch auf unsere Webseite. Hier findest du alle benötigten Informationen.
Bisher gab es für den deutschsprachigen Raum drei Landesseiten, die die Community und Interessierte mit Informationen rund um Joomla! versorgten. Die Idee, dass die deutschsprachigen Joomla! Landesseiten sich zusammenschließen, gibt es schon länger, und zusammen mit dem Team von Joomla! Österreich und dem Joomla! Deutschland e.V ist man dieser Idee etwas näher gekommen.
Beide verantwortlichen Organe haben sich dazu entschlossen, zukünftigt gemeinsam Joomla! zu repräsentieren und zu fördern. Zu diesem Zweck wird man, als gleichberechtigte Partner und Träger, nur noch eine Joomla! Landesseite betreuen. Hierzu werden die Domains Joomla.at und Joomla.de und die jeweiligen Teams vereint.
Statt wie bisher so manchen Artikel / Beitrag im deutschsprachigen Raum auf verschiedenen Landesseiten zu haben, werden zukünftig landesübergreifende Informationen zu Joomla! zentral angeboten. Die Teams aus Österreich und Deutschland werden das Angebot mit landesspezifischen Informationen und Veranstaltungen ergänzen.
Joomla!- Österreich und Deutschland werden unter der gemeinsamen Adresse www.Joomla.de agieren. Wobei man hier die Endung .de als Bedeutung für "deutschsprachig" versteht und nicht als Landeskennzeichnen für Deutschland.
Auch das neue Team benötigt noch für verschiedene Aufgabengebiete fleißige und motivierte Helfer. Wer uns unterstützen möchte, kann sich gerne mit uns in Verbindung setzen.

Joomla! provides plenty of flexibility when displaying your web content. Whether you are using Joomla! for a blog site, news or a website for a company, you'll find one or more content styles to showcase your information. You can also change the style of content dynamically depending on your preferences. Joomla calls how a page is laid out a layout. Use the guide below to understand which layouts are available and how you might use them.
Content
Joomla! makes it extremely easy to add and display content. All content is placed where your mainbody tag in your template is located. There are three main types of layouts available in Joomla! and all of them can be customised via parameters. The display and parameters are set in the menu item used to display the content your working on. You create these layouts by creating a menu item and choosing how you want the content to display.
Blog layout
Blog layout will show a listing of all content items of the selected blog type (section or category) in the mainbody position of your template. It will give you the standard title, and Intro of each content article in that particular Category and/or Section. You can customise this layout via the use of the content parameters, (See Content Parameters) this is done from the menu not the section manager!
Blog Archive layout
A Blog Archive layout will give you a similar output of content as the normal Blog Display but will add at the top two dropdown boxes for Month and year plus a search button to allow users to search for all archived content from a specific month and year
Table layout
Table layout will simply give you a table of all the titles in that particular section or category. No intro will be displayed just the titles. You can set how many titles will be displayed in this table by Parameters. The table layout will also provide a filter section so that users can reorder, filter and set how many titles are listed on a single page (up to 50)
Wrapper
Wrappers allow you to place stand alone applications and 3rd party websites inside your Joomla! site. The content within a wrapper appears within the primary content area defined by the "mainbody" tag and allows you to display content to display them as part of your own site. A Wrapper will place an IFRAME into the content section of your website and wrap your standard template navigation around it so it appears in the same way a content item would.
Content Parameters
The parameters for each layout type can be found on the right hand side of the editor boxes in the menu item configuration screen. The parameters available depend largely on what kind of layout you are configuring.

I'm an avid user of the extension, and a problem I tend to have is I forget to add an editor_content.css file to my template to give us the white editor background, because I tend to use dark colored "body" colors or graphical body backgrounds.I'm wondering if we can add a "white background" editor_content.css file as one of the starting base files in a future update. It would make me very happy.
